About ThumbnailDesign
Compelling logo design always begins with the raw “thumbnail,” the all-important pencil sketch used to distill a client’s mission, philosophy, and market approach into a single powerful emotion. We believe emotion drives great design, and our creative passion ensures we deliver a strong, imaginative logo and clear branding voice to every client.

Mary MinassiansAbout ThumbnailDesign Founder Mary Minassians
Thumbnail founder and Los Angeles-based graphic designer Mary Minassians specializes in “logo art” and visual branding for corporate identity. A graduate of the Art Center College of Design, she began her career at Bass/Yager and Associates where, in conjunction with the architectural offices of Richard Meier, she collaborated on the development and re-design of a new logo and comprehensive signage system for The Getty Center Museum, among other projects for a variety of corporate clients.

Putting into action Aristotle’s philosophy that “excellence is not an accident, but rather a habit,” Minassians brings two decades of creative branding expertise to every client, with visual identity collateral for a variety of clients in the entertainment industry as well as the corporate arena.

Minassians applies her contemporary design aesthetic to companies throughout the U.S., including Disney, ESPN, 20th Century Fox, and the ABC Network Licensing Division.

Minassians’ passion and creative eye extend beyond branding campaigns and into the world of social justice. She recently designed “How We Live,” a hard cover book that documents what life is like living on the margins in Armenia. “How We Live” is sponsored by the Tufenkian Foundation.  She also helped produce the documentary “Beyond Commitment” with husband Serj Minassians. “Beyond Commitment” shares the life stories of volunteers for the “Land and Culture Organization,” and has been viewed around the world.
